Alfredo De Avila

Alfredo De Avila is a program associate of the Applied Research Center, and the Co-Producer and host of the ColorLines Spanish radio and web show, La Raya, a weekly news, commentary and interview show that covers the news that impacts communities of color. For the past forty years he has been a farmworker and community organizer, newspaper manager, radio show host and organizer trainer and campaign consultant. He has work with communities of color all across the country, working on issues of employment, education, health, environment, housing, transportation and immigration.
