Andrea Plaid

Named one of EBONY.com's “8 Dynamic Black Women Editors in New Media", she also serves as the associate editor/project manager of the award-winning race-and-pop-culture blog Racialicious. She is part of The Feminist Wire’s editorial collective and an associate producer of renowned web series Black Folk Don’t.
 
Andrea's work on race, gender, sex, and sexuality has appeared at On The Issues, Bitch, AlterNet, and RH Reality Check and reprinted at, among other online sites, New American Media. Her writing also appears in the anthology Feminism for Real: Deconstructing the Academic Industrial Complex of Feminism, edited by Jessica (Yee) Danforth. Andrea has appeared on Melissa Harris-Perry. She also served as a recurring commentator at Huffington Post Live as well as appeared on GRITtv and in In These Times, Chicago Tribune, and Washington Post.
