Kim Sarabia is an experienced nonprofit professional who has held support and leadership roles in various social justice organizations for over six years. She has been devoted to transnational women’s issues, weaving together the intersections of migration, gender, and labor. A graduate of the Midwest Academy community organizing program, her experience is in rooted in the philosophy that enable ordinary people to actively participate in the democratic process.
Kim has filled a diverse set of roles, from working as a crisis line operator at a rural women’s shelter to collaborating with young people to address food justice issues in the South Bronx. Kim is originally from Manila, Philippines, and has since lived in various locations, including, Guam, Houston, Southern Indiana, Washington, D.C. and Chicago. She holds a BA from Indiana University in Bloomington.
