Jeong Bae, Director of Operations and Finance, works closely with the Board, Executive Director and the Managing Director to oversee all aspects of operations and finance. Jeong most recently served a similar role at The Royal Oak Foundation, an American affiliate of the National Trust of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, where he was responsible for developing and managing the organization's budget as well as awarding more than half a million dollars in grants to various charitable organizations to preserve and conserve places of significant beauty. Prior to Royal Oak, Jeong served as a finance and administration manager at Living Cities, a collaborative of the nation’s largest philanthropic and financial institutions working to improve the lives of low-income people, and as a chief operating officer at the Leader to Leader Institute (formerly the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management).
Jeong has significant experience in building and managing financial and information systems, and promoting cross-sector collaborations between public, private and social sector. Jeong’s accomplishments include leading the efforts in the publication of The Leader of the Future 2 and The Five Most Important Questions You Will Ever Ask About Your Organization. Jeong is a graduate of the United Way of NYC’s Senior Fellows and the Volunteer Center’s Leadership Westchester programs. He has won first place honors in the social track of an entrepreneurship competition hosted by Baruch College and Merrill Lynch. Jeong holds a bachelor’s degree in Design and Management from Parsons The New School for Design and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration from the Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame.
