Johnathan Fields is the Executive Assistant to the President and Managing Director at the Applied Research Center. A graduate of DePaul University, Johnathan received his degree in Philosophy and African & Black Diaspora Studies. Prior to ARC, Johnathan worked at the Irwin W. Steans Center for Community-based Service Learning where he built a relationship with the Office of LGBTQA Student Services to coordinate an annual film festival focusing on the intersections of race, gender and sexuality. Outside of work, he helped organize protests against white gay racism and built workshops to foster a racial consciousness in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood as well as at regional conferences. When he's not theorizing the world, Johnathan can be found blogging or roaming the streets of New York City.
