new_jim_crow.jpgLongtime civil rights advocate and litigator Michelle Alexander has come out with her first book, The New Jim Crow. Join us in Oakland for a book signing and discussion.

 

 

Akonadi Foundation, All of Us or None, the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights and Legal Services for Prisoners with Children invite you to The New Jim Crow a ground breaking book event. Michelle Alexander will share her bold and innovative argument that mass incarceration amounts to a devastating system of racial control. She will be available to sign the book and will facilitate a community discussion about how we can undo this New Jim Crow.
